You may recall a post/review on the novel House Rules almost a year ago. The story surrounded a young man with Asperger's syndrome who was involved in a crime. The beginning of The Civil Wars of Jonah Moran similarly began with a crime in which a young man with Asperger's syndrom may be involved. I kind of went through the beginning feeling this would be the same story but was quick to find the heart of the story revolves around relationships, specifically that of a mother and daughter. Their relationship is broken and they find it difficult to be around each other let alone getting along with one another. This was a quick read but enjoyable and there is an interesting crime storyline that holds you through the end to find out the result.
